Additional Information

Service charges explained
We understand that the ongoing cost of running your new apartment is an important factor to consider when deciding to purchase a Churchill apartment. That's why a full service charge budget analysis is available for each individual development. Owners are consulted on this annually, and we always aim to keep the cost as low as possible.

Your service charge covers:

Cost of providing the Lodge Manager
Security systems and call monitoring
External maintenance
Building insurance
Heating
Lighting
All furnishings for the Owners' Lounge and communal areas.
With energy costs on the increase, it is worth highlighting that we use thermal efficient materials and effective insulation throughout our developments. We ensure we use energy efficient:

Appliances
Fixtures
Fittings
All of which adds up to a lower carbon footprint and lower energy bills.

Many Owners are pleasantly surprised that the service charges for their apartment frequently work out less than what they were paying, in comparable costs, on their previous property. This is backed up by research from the Housing LIN, who found that downsizing from a 3 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom retirement apartment could save an Owner approximately 1,300* per year.

We appreciate everyone's household costs will differ, and just how daunting the idea of a service charge can be. We are here to help you every step of the way, please contact one of the team to discuss your current costs and help you discover just how much you could be saving.

*Based on "Sizing up the Situation" report (Housing LIN, 2014) and Millstream Service Charge data.
